Students who successfully complete this course unit will be able to:

1. Know the architectures of decision support systems, namely, the data warehouses;
2. Know the storage architectures of data to support big data;
3. Design data warehouses to support analytical processing and data mining, including meta-data support;
4. Design and execute processes for transformation, filtering and data processing;
5. Know and use interrogation languages to access data warehouses;
6. Write technical reports and prepare technical presentations with comparative analysis and discussion of different solutions.
